Honest Photography
“I want you to see this”. That is my thought as I push the shutter button. I want to share my vision and my place in the world with you.
All of my photographs are “honest”. By honest, I mean that there is no digital manipulation of the elements of the photo. I perform only the adjustments that could be done in a traditional darkroom. What you see in the photo is what I saw through the viewfinder. I enjoy the challenge of composing a photo, proportioned to eight by ten, which stands on its own without the need for editing. Presenting photos in this classic format is my personal preference. I feel that just as a cinematographer has to compose a scene to fit the screen, my prints should fill a frame.
Thank you for looking at my photos.
